Hi, people!

I'm glad to introduce our new big tournament Fighting.ru Winter Invitational 2007. Here comes some brief info about this tournament:

FWI2007 is a closed tournament that will take place at Moscow, Russia, on 4th of March. There will be only two games this year, namely, Tekken 5 and Guilty Gear XX Slash. This gives us two finals. In each final there will be 24 participants. 19 of them will be selected via our ratings or via qualifying tournaments, that will take place in Russia, Ukraine ad Belarus during this February. 4 slots will be given to winners of last qualifiers (aka meatgrinders), that will take place on 3rd of March. These last qualifiers are open for everyone to enter.
Finally, one last slot is reserved specially for you foreign players.

Some prize\enter fee info:
For all qualified players finals are completely free. Meatgrinders will cost few bucks for local players, but for all foreign players it is free again. There is no 100% confirmed info on prizes so far, as I'm still working with our possible sponsors right now. But I can assure you that prizes will be no worse that prizes at our latest big tournament, MFA2006 (you can get some info about that for example here: http://forum.fighting.ru/viewtopic.php?t=1495).

Some venue info:
The event will take place in a local "cybersport centre" named 4GAME. There will be a stage with 8 PS2's. Games on each PS2 will be translated on a CRT TV for players and on a plasma TV for spectators, who will be happily seating in a hall enjoing translation, bar with a good selection of drinks selection and other stuff. Games from one PS2 will be also shown at a WIDE screen that is in the center of the stage. You can take a look at some pictures of this place here: http://4game.su/center/arena/

On the first day ("meatgrinders" day) there will be freeplay at all PS2's that aren't currently busy for tournaments.
On the second day ("finals" day) there will be freeplay for all qualified players, and there will be 2 additional consoles in the hall for everybody.

There will be no possibility for players to stay at venue through the night, but there are many local people who will be happy to host you during your stay in Moscow, ad that means you'll have as much freeplay as it possible. We will also arrange somebody to pickup ou from the airport in case you contact us beforehand.

On the second day there will be some additional show-events like best player's challenge and so on. Additionally there will be some kind of PS3 presentation with some VF5 freeplay possibility, but that remains to be confirmed as well.
